Windy Ridge is a Bluegrass band that was formed in 1997 by a group of friends that had been pickin' and singin' together for several years. The band grew out of informal jam sessions held around the Galax, VA area. All of the members of the band are multi-instrumentalists, and lead singing duties are shared among the various members. Our repertoire spans the broad spectrum of Bluegrass, from traditional to the slightly more progressive. We've even written some of our own material.

Windy Ridge is not booking any dates at the present time. After playing actively for a few years, we all needed time to focus on our families and careers. We still do get together and play as often as we can, and hopefully you'll be able to find us around a few of the Fiddler's Conventions in the area from time to time. We appreciate people's interest in our band, and we're grateful to all the people who've supported us over the years.
